MI School Safety Initiative
The Michigan School Safety Initiative is a resource for all schools in the State of Michigan.
The Initiative is focused on working with schools to provide training and technical assistance to improve school safety and prevent school violence, including school shootings, through the implementation of evidence-based safety programs and strategies.

Conducting a comprehensive school safety needs assessment of Michigan schools
Providing training and technical assistance to implement evidence-based safety initiatives
Evaluating school safety initiatives implemented in Michigan to understand their impact
Convening a Michigan-specific school safety advisory board of experts to advise the Center on planned activities and initiatives
Hosting a statewide conference to provide training and education on best practices and evidence-based initiatives
Disseminating evidence-based tools and resources to schools, districts, and other school safety professionals across Michigan
