The siren system, new security cameras, classroom door locks and a centralized security operations center are among the systems MSU has upgraded or installed since the shooting unfolded on Feb. 13, 2023, killing three students and wounding five others in Berkey Hall and the student union. The university has about 51,000 students and 12,000 staffers.
