A mass shooting Thursday in Cass County is reminiscent of a 2013 incident in Manchester where six people were found killed in their home.

As of the first week in December, there have been more than 632 mass shootings in 2023, according to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines mass shooting as an incident in which four or more victims are shot or killed. These mass shootings have led to 597 deaths and 2,380 injuries.

More than half of mass shootings involving four or more victims are “actually shootings of intimate partners and families,” according to April Zeoli, policy director for the Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention at the University of Michigan. Dr. Zeoli spoke with The Telegraph about the relationship between mass shootings and intimate partner violence.
