“Dear Families, Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is a top priority. As part of our district’s commitment in this area, we want to communicate with students and families the importance of safe gun storage. This message provides that information.
Why Safe Gun Storage is Important
With firearms being the leading cause of death among children and teens, it’s crucial that we all take steps to prevent gun-related tragedies. Safe firearm storage is one of the most effective ways to protect our loved ones and prevent accidents or violence. By securely storing firearms, parents and guardians can play a vital role in keeping our schools and communities safe.
How to Safely Secure and Store Guns
We encourage every family to prioritize safe firearm storage. This includes using:
- Gun safes or lock boxes
