The University of Michigan Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention will support implementation of extreme risk protection order (ERPO) policies and protocols statewide through the Michigan Firearm Law Implementation Program (M-FLIP). M-FLIP will form a state advisory board, conduct a comprehensive needs assessment, provide training and technical assistance, host a statewide conference, and disseminate evidence-based tools and resources to law enforcement agencies, healthcare networks, schools and school districts, community violence intervention (CVI) organizations, and victim advocacy groups across Michigan.
